Abstract
In this project, our goal is to increase capacity for genomic epidemiology through training, and implementation of a mobile TGS as a tool, levering on an European and international consortium (Africa, Asia and South America) to achieve the following:rapid identification of infectious agents causing outbreak causing agents subsequent rapid adaptation development of existing smartphone-based point-of-care tests . updating of rapid multiplex laboratory based molecular assays. tracing infectious agent reservoir sources by monitoring potential rodent or arthropod vectors or/and environmental samples allowing to better understand outbreak causes and to adopt appropriate control measuresmonitoring the evolution of infectious agent target regions for nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT)improving contact tracing and control of outbreak dynamicsimproving surveillance programmes by implementing digital platform Improve tools for delivery of results to policy maker and public health institution For this purpose, the consortium will develop a pipeline for rapid upgrading and dissemination of NAAT reagentsanalyse implementation outcomes in clinical trialsimplement a digital genomic epidemiology platform Matching the aims of this call, our approach willdevelop innovative diagnostic solutions that are better suited to tackle cross-border health threats and at international level. Increase accessibility to novel and improved methodologies for detection of pathogens with pandemic potential using one health approach. increasing options for clinical deployment of novel diagnostics in case of an epidemic or pandemic.
